Description: Klimax Kontrol is Linn's reference-quality stereo preamplifier. First introduced in 2002, Klimax Kontrol has undergone extensive development in 2008 to improve even further on an already exceptional preamplifier. The machined-from-solid clamshell construction of the Klimax casework is a beautiful and unique design that screens, protects and stabilizes the internal electronics. Inside there are four circuit boards, one an auto-ranging Switch Mode Power Supply which provides silent power to the unique audio circuit board. The display and control boards are separated from the audio board, which has been updated for this new version. With the implementation of a new dual-mono volume control topology which separates control of the left and right channels, the updated Klimax Kontrol benefits from further reduced harmonic distortion and an even lower noise floor than its predecessor. Klimax Kontrol features balanced and unbalanced audio inputs and outputs, allowing you to choose the optimum connection method for your system.
