Linn LP12 Servicing at Tivoli HiFi

Tivoli HiFi offers a full servicing and upgrade service for your Linn LP12 turntable, to keep it running and sounding the best it possibly can. A service is the best value upgrade we can provide as a compressed or a poorly set up suspension can mean you are not getting the best out of your treasured vinyl collection.

Tivoli HiFi recommends your LP12 comes in for a minor service once every three years. There are a number of perishables on board, and just like a car, they need a tune up to keep running at their best.

The legendary Linn LP12 is an engineering masterpiece that has continued to evolve over 50 years.

Even the earliest Linn LP12’s can be upgraded to current specifications.

It spans not only new owners but ones that have been passed from generation to generation.

To keep your prized possession at its best we recommend one of three servicing options.

 Standard LP12 Service – $495

If your LP12 has been regularly serviced over its life or is a recent model this is ideal option to keep it at peak performance.

Your Standard Service includes:

• New Carbon steel suspension springs
• New Rubber grommets
• New Locknuts
• New Mudguard washers
• Change bearing oil
• Check spindle for wear
• Rebalance suspension
• Inspect and clean belt
• Inspect and clean motor pulley
• Clean deck, refit felt mat, and perform audio test

LP12 Full Service – $795

As per the Standard tune-up, but with a few additions if your LP12 hasn’t been looked at in a while and needs extra attention.

• Clean and inspect stylus for excessive wear
• Provide report on stylus condition
• Check Tonearm function including bearings
• Check & adjust cartridge alignment
• Check & Adjust VTA
• Rebalance arm to manufacturers specification
• In depth Anti Skate Calibration
• Confirm Channel Balance

Karousel Bearing Upgrade Service $1995

The Deluxe treatment. A Full Service and installation of the Karousel Bearing.

The Karousel bearing was introduced in 2020 and is now standard in all new LP12s.

Karousel is a massive leap forward compared to the older ones - smoother, less friction, better mounting to the LP12 chassis, which results in a much greater performance. You'll also get a replacement inner platter.
